-----Original Message----- From: Bernie Cullen This paper by Battaglia (2008) was briefly discussed here in 2009 (see old posts below) and mentioned again recently on dna-forums.org and I took a look. Not only did they find three P41.2+ people in Bosniac and Croat samples, [[Do they have any STR haplotypes for all three of these P41+ people? I think I have only one P41+ haplotype in my database. With three we might get a hint what to focus on to find more. n]]
The paper and supplementary data are all free: http://www.nature.com/ejhg/journal/v17/n6/full/ejhg2008249a.html http://tinyurl.com/84yr6jr In table S1 they give the I-P37.2* haplotypes, the one from Albania has DYS388=9 and is probably the I-P37.2*-France group. Ken asked why I said "most" of old I-P37.2* with DYS388=15 is L233+. My answer is a small amount is L233-, this is the closely related "Alpine" group. In table S2 they list the I-M423 haplotypes, it's hard to tell if the I-M359 (I-P41) haplotypes are part of these. I don't see the I-M26 or other kinds of I haplotypes.
