I'm I2b1a1, L126 also. I don;t see L369 available for test. I thought it was a case where if you're positive for L126 you're presumed positive for L369. ________________________________ From: Linda Threadgill <llt1948@gmail.com> To: y-dna-haplogroup-i@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2012 3:54 PM Subject: [yDNAhgI] McKenzie, Kit# 65267, L369 test results Ken, The results for the L369 SNP test for McKenzie are in. L369 is available under "advanced tests" Don't go to advanced snp tests. FTDNA likes to trick people at their ordering site. But many people who are L126 have ordered L369, and so far it has been found phyloequivalent, including a test by a Limbo person or two. So I don't give it high priority for anyone unless your extended haplotype shows you are a real outlier in Scot clade L126+ -----Original Message----- From: Rossa Mullen Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2012 2:19 PM To: y-dna-haplogroup-i@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [yDNAhgI] McKenzie, Kit# 65267, L369 test results I'm I2b1a1, L126 also. I know it's pretty speculative but with the walk the y tests happening for a few M223 people what's the possibility of something significant being found for M284, L126? Given they're fairly young if something does turn I suppose it might be specific to certain surnames. ________________________________ From: Kenneth Nordtvedt <knordtvedt@bresnan.net> To: Rossa Mullen <rossa1978@yahoo.com>; y-dna-haplogroup-i@rootsweb.com Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2012 4:28 PM Subject: Re: [yDNAhgI] McKenzie, Kit# 65267, L369 test results L369 is available under "advanced tests" Don't go to advanced snp tests. I don't know what's the likelihood, but I think that Aaron Torres, of the I2b1 project, has two L126+ people, one Isles Scottish and one something else, currently doing the Walk the Y. The last I heard, several weeks ago, he had raised the funds and had the people recruited to do the test. All Isles-Scottish people (and their inlaws) are waiting with baited breath. Since I am one of those in the Limbo group should I be testing something else? There isn't anything else to test at the moment for Limbo or Scot clades ogf L126 -----Original Message----- From: Linda Threadgill Sent: Wednesday, February 15, 2012 3:59 PM To: y-dna-haplogroup-i@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [yDNAhgI] McKenzie, Kit# 65267, L369 test results Since I am one of those in the Limbo group should I be testing something else? Hi Rossa, I had the L126 test done several years ago and it was positive. The results from L369 came back on 2/8. It is offered as a single SNP test for the $29.00 price. You can do a search for it. I thought someone mentioned having the L369 SNP tested in connected with the I2b1 WTY project, but I may be wrong.
