My Hg I1 "character matrix" may help. It was up to date as of a few weeks ago. I'm in the process of updating it, again, right now: http://dgmweb.net/DNA/General/SNP-maxout-HgI1.html Exactly what you test depends on whether you are content with assuming the status of upstream SNPs or deductions based the STR haplotype with regard to upstream SNPs, or whether you want to confirm the major "forks" in the tree. I would say that decision is a personal one based on your level of curiosity, that is, whether knowing for certain is worth the expense to you, or not.
