Dear Lists Herewith link to new Z58 et al. Surname SNP Tree which will replace the Dec 16 version. https://www.box.com/s/vn83q2dksudnpokagilg You should find this one better organised than the previous version and some recent results have been included. Maximus aka Centurion has been very busy on the I1 Facebook page and I have adapted my tree to include his new SNP information. I hope I haven’t missed anything in relation to the Z58 – Z63 sectors. Maximus has also drawn up a very useful tree for wider I1 which can be viewed at this website : http://abbey-roots.blogspot.ru/2012/12/new-tree-i1.html I may be the last to know, but I have been puzzled about the difference in numbers of SNPs that show on Geno 2.0 testers’ Haplotree pages at FTDNA compared with the much larger volume shown for their kits on their Projects’ Y-SNP pages. William Hartley had this to say about this matter on his I1 FB page and I hope he doesn’t mind that I’m reposting: ‘Geno 2.0, What results to see, and where to see them: The SNPs on your FTDNA Haplotree page are the ones that are currently testable through FTDNA. All the SNPs on the FTDNA Project page are the total SNPs you've tested positive for, covering all the different series. If you want to see all the SNPs you've tested positive and negative for, you'll have to go to your raw data.’ So, if this is the case, could we expect that as FTDNA are petitioned to add new Geno SNPs to their catalogue, that those SNPs will automatically appear on Geno 2.0 testers’ Haplotree pages? Or will separate requests need to be made to FTDNA? This question may already have been covered elsewhere, but with information being provided in so many different places it’s difficult to keep across it all. Patience and perseverance needed, I guess! Kind regards Julie Frame Falk
Hi, Julie, et. al. It looks like I’ve have results on 3 of the 4 new SNPs ordered and all negative so far: Z2538- Z2536- Z2535- (Z2337 pending) looks like it’s following the trend... Thanks, Deb. It would be nice to think Z2337 will change the 'negative' trend for you, but if not, it may be of some small consolation that you will at least get the *asterisk* status for a while! :) Best wishes Julie -------------- <<From: Debbie Demeester Sent: Friday, December 28, 2012 1:00 AM To: Julie Frame Falk ; [email protected] Subject: Re: [yDNAhgI] New Update - Z58 et al Surname SNP Tree Hi, Julie, et. al. Julie etal, I signed up for Z2539, which appears to have been a mistake for its position relative to Z140/Z141. Should I do Z2535, or go for Z2536-8? What would be the most useful course to take?
