    1. [yDNAhgI] Chromo2 and L38/39/40
    2. Kenneth Nordtvedt
    3. The folks putting together the Chromo2 chip did not forget the major section of haplogroup I, L38/39/40. I just did it last. If you go to my Chromo2F597 or Chromo2L597, you will see I just added the L38/39/40 sector. Chromo2 chip does a fantastic job of dividing L38/39/40 into multiple branches. Too bad we don’t know haplotypes or names or chromosome positions for the S series snps? All in all, Chromo2 chip was put together by folks who were very kind to haplogroup I. I think this is because haplogroup I is well present in the British Isles. In constructing the L38/39/40 tree I have one snp, S2523, which seems to present quite contradictory results. So I am asking Britains DNA to check that snp. Kenneth Nordtvedt Haplogroup I Clade Modalities and Trees at: http://knordtvedt.home.bresnan.net

    1. [yDNAhgI] mutation rates
    2. Nicolas Taban
    3. Ken, In your Generations111T.xlsx file, there are 2 sets of mutation rates (m(i) and back up). What are the differences?? You state that you use the mutation rates from M Heinila. On Yutlity111, one can choose "FTDNA" or "McDonald" mutation rates. Any idea on what the differences are between all? Why did you choose the one from M. Heinila? Regards, Nicolas.
