I hope this yseq.net experience continues. Here’s the drill as I see it. When a bunch of sufficiently close dna samples, often co-members of a clade, have done BigY or another quasi full Y test, and their sector’s weeded tree constructed from the results, one finds the downstream snp locations which others could test to see how they further enrich the sector tree. The key new snps are requested from yseq.net; when they are added to the catalog the relevant hobbyists can place their orders for a price competitive with FTDNA.
