Given how similar are the haplotypes of P109+ I1d1, and the basic I1d haplotypes which are much more numerous, I am surprised we stumbled on another snp L840 so phyloequiv to P109. I'd expect there to be some intermediate populations which split these snps. -----Original Message----- From: Kenneth Nordtvedt Sent: Thursday, December 22, 2011 12:59 PM To: y-dna-haplogroup-i@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [yDNAhgI] L840 Results in FTDNA Kit # 10677 - I1d1 Followup L840 seems presently phyloequiv to P109 as far as my data shows. -----Original Message----- From: Chuck Thornton Sent: Thursday, December 22, 2011 6:45 AM To: y-dna-haplogroup-i@rootsweb.com Subject: [yDNAhgI] L840 Results in FTDNA Kit # 10677 - I1d1 Followup The SNP results for FTDNA Kit # 10677 (Y-search: PTHKK) reported L840+ This individual was previously L22+/P109+ Would it be possible to get a summary of the various results from the different individuals who recently tested for this SNP? FTDNA still has L840 as a subgroup of P109!?! I was under the impression that L840 had little value in further subdividing I1.
