Ken- What are your current thoughts about what you describe as the large I1xZ58,Z63,Z131 population, not including the ML clade, and especially those of us who have had the 68-111 DYS readings? He is reported negative for all three, so ML clade remains I1* The I1xZ58,Z63,Z131 population has become quite large. It is interesting that out of 1000 Genomes 15 samples used to announce their I1 sector tree of Z snps, they did not have one member of the I1* type. Perhaps there is something about their search procedure which passes by dna samples negative for everything of the Z series? So far I am finding the different clades within I1xZ58,Z63,Z131 to be quite separate and having ancient interclade tmrcas of approximate age 4000 years ago. And number of folks expanding to 111 markers is not large enough to see any unity of haplotypes of this I1* haplogroup. January 1 an updated tree for I1 will go up on my website.
