The ones I was interested in yesterday were not there, or if so with only the most cursory information. A directory is much quicker to learn what you want than looking them up individually. Hi List, Comparing BigY results for SNP S10269 to Chromo2 results for the same marker leaves me a bit puzzled. FTDNA reports a G as ancestral and a T as derived while BritainDNA reports T as ancestral and T as derived Is this a matter of different strands being used -or- a matter of other ancestral references being used? Best wishes, Hans
No My husband hasn't done Chromo2. It is CTS6364 he is positive for not CTS6346, was that a typo? He is in the I1 project as 267833 ??? I'd forget about all those "reports" and just consider the data. Everyone in haplogroup I is AA except SOME of the L39 who are GG. Ken, I just discovered your I-P109 tree out of the BigY. Pretty interesting. You can see attached what we have done in the I-P109 project (the slide is also visible on the I1 facebook group). This is a merge of Chromo2 results and the BigY (from BED and VCF files). We have been focusing on the common SNPs rather than the private ones. Note that all the positions needs to be confirmed as not all members have been showing any results on them. It is therefore not possible to conclude if they are positive or negative (although we tend to think they would be negative). We will try to confirm them through the YFull interpretation. Your tree is very similar with 1 main difference: You seem to exclude position 17819410 that I previously asked to be seeded. It regroups (in your slide) "Ca", "R", "Cr" and "A". Have you seeded it and concluded that it was not a reliable position? Also there is a couple of positions that are actually existing SNPs like (from Chromo2, so unknown for FTDNA): 21878855 = S23679 21423149 = S23062 Also, not appearing in your tree, there is some known SNPs that appear unique to some individuals. But this is impossible to capture from the new novel variant files, you would need to look at the VCF files. Regards, Nicolas.

Responding to: Kenneth Nordtvedt: I am NOT person 147 of Chromo2. I have not done Chromo 2. Greg Magoon: I agree with your suggested sequence but was thrown off balance a bit by the Yfull suggestion that CTS10028 and S6346 were equivalent or upstream of CTS6364. Carol Gilbert: What does your husband have for S6346? Is your husband the PGP5 mentioned by Greg Magoon or is he #147 of Chromo2? William Hartley: I've sent you some off-list comments on the analysis you kindly provided me. Your analysis indicates to me that #147 is negative at S6346. Bill Archerd
If you are I-M223 or any of it's sub-branches and have or plan to have your Big Y or other BAM file submitted to Yfull for analysis, there is now a I-M223 group that you can join to compare results. The 9 reference M223+ samples are are attached to the group.
Hello Bill the last correspondence I sent you on May 1st included this tree: On 1 May 2014 18:06, I'm pretty certain #3662036 S6346 is right next to L22, you are negative [just upstream] so the tree looks like it goes: DF29/S438 -> CTS6364 -> CTS10028 -> ARCHERD \ #147 S6346 [or could be just down from L22] \ L22/S142 subbranch -> \ -> CTS11651 the big Norse subbranch [P109, L69, Z74 etc] -> \ -> S19986 subbranch -> \ -> S4744 subbranch [L300 etc] -> #147 is negative for S142 [L22] so must be between you and L22/S142 Did you read the analysis I included ? See the Z2040 sector in the “Tree for I1 Z58+ Z60-“ This sector is dominated by the large AS3 Z382+ clade, but it contains many more robust clades. BigY gives 12 new snps in this sector for which I find no S series names or find in Krahn’s SNP browser. They divide in same manner the Z2040 population quite strongly into two parts. Perhaps the FGC series of snps have given some of these 12 snps names? Dr Krahn has provided a spreadsheet with locations for all the Chromo2 S series snps. Is there a similar spreadsheet giving locations for all the named FGC series snps? If so, what is the link?
