Hi, The I-P109 project is in need of BigY coupons. If anybody has some to spare, please contact me directly. Mvh/Regards Nicolas Taban
Looks at “BigYtree-L813” The five more ancient branch lines all have haplotypes with the more typical I1 12 at DYS464a instead of the unusual 11 characteristic of uN clades. Most of them also have the “normal” 15 at DYS464c. That ancient five includes the hefty clade I1d-911 with 14 at DYS393, high DYS388, 12 at 464a, 9 at H4 and mostly 11 at DYS390. The ancient five population is much older in its variance than the rest of L813+ uN clades. Kenneth Nordtvedt Haplogroup I Clade Modalities and Trees at: http://knordtvedt.home.bresnan.net

I see I made a typo of my own. That should of course be S5619 instead of DS5619. Did you look at the "Chromo2Z58"? S519 and S2293 are parallel to each other I believe. Ray, if you turn out to be negative for S6277, you might want to test for S5619/FGC3500 at YSEQ. I am negative for S6277 but positive for S5619/FGC3500. It seems that the latter SNP will be positive for Z138+ Z2541- cluster AS1414, but it could be a little upstream of AS1414. Two members of AS1414, including myself, are known to be positive for S5619/FGC3500, but 2 other Z138+ individuals of unknown cluster were also shown to be positive for it in the Chromo2 test. There is much more information to gain from the BigY test I would think. My bigY tree includes only the novel variants. And as of the present no AS2 has done the BigY. Thanks Ken Being a none scientist the way that FTDNA appears to be presenting the BigY results is meaningless to the layman. When bigY came out the general recommendation was it would only be meaningful if someone close to you also did the test for comparisons.. I sent out a few emails at the time to AS2 people but got no response, so nothing appears to have changed and going by the posts on this site there's some frustration with FTDNA. I took the the S2677 test based on I believe your recommendation a few months ago and based on what Obed said based on my result it looks like there may be another choice of S2293 which appears at 2 levels before you get to S5619. Guys like me need people like you who are willing to share your knowledge. You are appreciated Thank You Ray Jenkins I1- AS2, Z138+/Z139+ Z2541- > FTDNA Kit#186150, > Ysearch AETEN -------Original Message------- From: Kenneth Nordtvedt Date: 06/14/14 20:11:21 To: y-dna-haplogroup-i@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [yDNAhgI] S6277 at yseq There is much more information to gain from the BigY test I would think. Or look at "Chromo2Z58" It seems S2293 is upstream of S6277 and S2619 is parallel in the tree. Or perhaps you have some results which are different? AS2 is a huge clade. I got both my Yfull analysis and Big Y Matching at Family Tree DNA yesterday and they both found some extra SNPs that do not appear on Ken's BigYtree-P109 slide for Simonds/Symonds (S1 & S2). I just wanted to check and see if this was intentional because perhaps they appear in other haplogroups or are somehow unreliable SNPs? The SNPs are: 22298778210864881590553014626623 Also, one of the SNPs that Ken found (and which Big Y Matching also found) was not identified as a terminal SNP for S1 or S2 by Yfull: 13675607 Anyway, I just wanted to ask what is known about these SNPs? Matthew Simonds
I have added another sector tree for BigY results, “ BigYtree-Z2040” This includes the hefty AS3 clade and some others, mostly Z382+ I have not yet entered the individual persons’ unique snps from BigY; that’s the time consuming part. Hi Everyone, I offered my coupon for the BigY to someone but she was in a family crisis and declined. I would still like to help someone who is at least identified as an AS10b in the I1 project. If any are receiving these e-mails let me know quickly. If anyone knows another AS10b please let them know my coupon is available. Richard Reed
