Indiana Evening Gazette, [Indiana, Pennsylvania] August 18, 1975 Rolling Stone Forfeits Bond Fordyce, Ark [AP] - Keith Richards of the British rock music group Rolling Stones has forfeited at a $163.50 bond by failing to appear in Municipal Court on a misdemeanor charge of reckless driving. A misdemeanor charge of carrying a weapon was dismissed by MUNICIPAL JUDGE THOMAS WYNNE. The weapon charge was filed when police spotted a leather-sheathed hunting knife on the seat of Richard's rented car after he was stopped July 5 for reckless driving. Richard's attorney, Bill Carter of Little Rock, had filed the motion to dismiss the weapon charge, citing a section of the state weapons control law that permits the carrying of certain weapons "on a journey."
