Joan: Great idea! Since we are so close to Washington, DC, I opted for a picture book about Washington. I got an idea earlier today and thought I would share it with you. I think I will get a book on the Amish in PA as a gift to the school library. And it occurred to me that some of you might be able to find books appropriate to the primary level that would describe something unique to the area where you live or the history of the Welsh in your area of the country or something like that - Texas Alamo, mining in MN, and like that. Just a thought. JoanII ============================== Search Family and Local Histories for stories about your family and the areas they lived. Over 85 million names added in the last 12 months. I found a book of photographs of Pennsylvania - no text except for the captions - and a small book about Amish schools that talks about Amish life as well. Has everyone started packing their bags yet? Only a couple more weeks!! JoanII ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ida Lee B.
