I read it as "cordwainer" but the enumerator was very sloppy about what he dotted! Jane P.S. There are tricks in searching for "Mc" names: (1) leave a space between the small "c" and the next capitalized letter ---- i.e. "Mc K" (2) replace the small "c" with an apostrophe or omit it altogether (3) drop the second capital letter, running it together --- "Mcnight"
