    1. [WGS] Question for the pros

    3. Hey Cuz's: Can anybody out there recommend a good portable scanner that I can take with me on "field trips" doing research?  I want one that will scan flat brittle or frail documents, not the kind that "rolls" a document through it.  Then I would download it to a PC later.  Thank you! 2. Dear Cuz Susan II, Wow, that is a good question, I know that most of the places I have gone, they won't allow the "brittle or frail" documents to be handled by anyone but them.... What I do is have them copy all doc's I want, then I scan them in at home on my "copier/printer"... The one that I have is a Epson Stylus CX4200 with a flat bed scanner. The scanner lid comes off so no pressure on the doc, or it the item is a book etc.. it won't squash it, and if the item is too large you can remove the lid and work around it. I will keep an eye out on a portable scanner for you thou. Hugs Cuz Becky [email protected] http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ttg13/ "'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.
