Fayette Co. Pa. She was married to John Mcknight. Well I am researching the Mcknight. John and Hannah (Hugh) where my gr gr gr grandpaents. But this is what I have and I am confused: John Mcknight b. abt. 1835 and d. 4/23/1903 (killed by a train) I have the article from the newspaper from 1903. He married Hannah Hugh, but her parents where Hiram Hugh and Rachel. (I can't find out when Hannah died, but later census show John married to a Missouri) I have a couple of his kids obt. Hiram did have a sister named Hannah born. 1/7/1801 in Georges township. You say your John and Hannah had a son William, do you know anything about him. My John and Hannah had a son William b. 1862 d. 8/27/1941. I am just trying to piece everything together and I think either I am wrong, and my grandmother told me the wrong story. Take Care, Christine
This is a chart that may help... Seems that There is a problem with the George McKnight being married to the younger Hannah.. as Christine has her married to another John McKnight.... 1. Becky: 1. The info in question is on my "Wynne-Deems" revision file that I sent to you two years ago, pages 2 and 4. Note on page 2 the explanation for the different colored print --ie from two different sources. Christine seems to have the same info that Viriginia Hughes had in the 1980's. Jane's info is 20 years later, and I would consider it more reliable. 2. What is the latest on the Deems revision? 3. Could you get Christine to write down a "Down and Dirty" list of her lineage? I have a desire to find who the living Cuz's are, and where they are located. There are a whole bunch of limbs from the Fairchance Wynne and Hugh trees that I know absolutely nothing about, relative to who is out there now! It is a fast list showing the person and their spouse for each generation... down to you. Example: Owen Hugh/Hannah Wynne Isaac Hughes/Mary Ann Todd Hiram Hugh/Rachel Huey Hannah Hugh/John M. Christine, your Hannah Hugh b.c. 1840 was indeed a dau. of Hiram Hugh b. 1810 and Rachel Huey. Hiram was a son of Isaac Hugh b. 1771 and Mary Ann Todd who also had a dau. named Hannah b. 1801 (I also descend from this Isaac Hugh and Mary Ann Todd. ) Glad to learn that you are a Hugh-Wynne cousin. I have a death date for your Hannah b. c. 1840 as 26 May 1875, in Dunbar, Fayette, PA. That is from "Some Fayette County Pennsylvania Cemeteries " p. 124, as she is recorded in that cem. list book as having been buried in Tent Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Georges, Fayette, PA. I appreciate having the death date for your William who died in 1941. Would love to learn more about his family as I know nothing further about him. I have his brother Henry James McKnight marrying a Martha Nutt and brother John McKnight marrying Emma V. Dugan and I do have some members of their families and am certainly willing to share that information. Very best regards, Cuzin Jane
