But later concluded that we were decended from Thomas, as my old relative who had done research also concluded. I had been thrown off at first by Thomas' death date in 1717, but found a few places where it said he died in 1771. Unfortunately one of the sources I was using on rootsweb is gone. Also, #9 Raymond and #10 Charles are the same person. Hey Cuz's, I found a geneology site I didn't know about. I found someone there with some of my Humphreys tree. They support the original info I got from a relative, with there only being one James. Maybe he really did have his son Thomas when he was 48, and he died at 94. I found the tree on rootsweb that I got some help from. The link that I had saved didn't work, but it does still exist. http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET&db=nancygwynn&id=I01239 And this has all the possible names for James' wife combined into one... Mary Ann Powell Moore. I had to laugh at that. I think maybe the person working on this tree is as confused as me.
