Have you printed out your air plane ticket and check for any time changes & what terminal it will be at??? 4. Have you picked out your suitcase? You can carry 1 Carry-on. Carry-on baggage is limited to one piece per customer, plus a personal item such as a purse, briefcase, laptop, small backpack, camera bags, small daypacks, infant bags, diaper bag or camera case. The personal item, which is to be placed under the seat in front of you, cannot exceed total overall dimensions of 36 inches. The other item of baggage may be placed in the overhead compartment and cannot exceed the following maximum dimensions: Valet Closet--45L x 23 1/2W x 4H Overhead Stowage--24L x 16W x 10H Underseat Stowage--21L x 16W x 8H Carry-on baggage dimensions: US Airways' maximum linear dimensions are 51" Both items cannot exceed a total combined weight of 40 pounds. Carry-on baggage allowance may be restricted due to lack of space. You are allowed 2 Suitcases are checked free of charge Each suitcase cannot exceed a weight of 50 pounds and dimensions of 62 inches, in overall length, width and height. An extra charge applies for additional, overweight, and/or oversized pieces. In no event will US Airways accept baggage that weighs more than 100 pounds and/or baggage that measures in combined dimensions exceeding 80 inches. Special items such as surfboards, bicycles, scuba equipment, etc. are not included in the customer's free baggage allowance and are subject to an extra charge. So you can't pack your husband in that extra suitcase....=) Excess Baggage USD 80.00 / CAD 100.00 for each excess bag Oversized Baggage USD 80.00 / CAD 100.00 For each piece exceeding a maximum outside linear dimension (height plus width plus length) of 62 inches / 158 cm up to 80 inches / 203 cm. Any one piece exceeding a combined total of 80 inches / 203 cm must be shipped via air freight Overweight Baggage Coach class ticketed passengers 51 - 70 pounds / 23 - 32 kg USD 50.00 / CAD 60.00 71 - 100 pounds / 32 - 45 kg USD 80.00 / CAD 100.00 Any one piece exceeding 100 pounds / 45 kg must be shipped via air freight Combination A charge of USD 80.00 / CAD 100.00 is assessed for each maximum exceeded. i.e. bag is in excess and oversized - total charge is USD 160.00 / CAD 200.00 5. Do you have enough film, batteries, etc for your Camera or Laptop? Do you know where your Camera is? DO NOT pack your Film in your suitcase.. IT will be heavy duty scanned in Customs, and it will kill your film before you use it. Carry it with you and put in through the conveyor scanner at the security counter with your wallet or purse. On return DO NOT ... DO NOT leave it in your suitcase it will kill your film.. carry it with you and put it though the scanner on the conveyer as you would your purse or wallet. 6. Do you have your host gift? 7. Do you have a book about your area, state or the US for the Primary school library? 8. WHEELCHAIRS & Golf Carts - Should you need, have you arranged for Assistance Before or Between Flights? At the check-in counter, advise the agent of special needs. A special assistance label may be offered, which may be affixed to your clothing for easier identification by US Airways personnel. US Airways will assist customers with mobility challenges in getting to and from gates using wheelchairs or electric carts (available in larger airports only). Wheelchairs and electric carts are used by many customers during peak travel periods, and may not be immediately available upon deplaning. Customers may need to wait a few minutes to receive assistance during busy travel periods. US Airways personnel are not available to assist with personal needs or errands. Customers needing assistance in boarding are invited to board first. Customers who request wheelchair service will be assisted off the aircraft after all other customers have deplaned. 9.
