    3. Dear Cuz Becky: I am so excited you now have these in your possession. I reread Hannah's will and her petitions and she was in possession of this house and the summer home in Pine Beach when she died in 1922. My mother remembers visiting this and so I would assume that it was in the family longer as my mother was born in 1916. I am intrigued. As an aside, what type of coat are you planning to bring to Wales? I can't decide. Thanks for Candace's email. We have corresponded on a regular basis. 3. Dear Cuz Janet, I am typing you up the things I found out since reading the will which also gives us some info we didn't have. Hey give Candace a hug and tell her I miss our conversations! I am wearing a burgundy all weather coat with a hood and black lining, hip length. For when it is damp but not raining hard..then I will use my new Pink and white golfing umbrella... it is a collapsible type they have now come out with. 2. The Thill Group, Inc.
    3. Dear Cuz Janet and Cuz Gainor [the silent one] What did I learn in the "Deed" of the 2nd Wynnestay property... 1st... Edward C. Wright is a Attorney in Philadelphia, PA... he & his wife are the owners of the property 2406 N. 52nd Street, Philadelphia, PA. He upon purchase of the property went and researched the property. This is the deed of the property he says he lives on. And he told me that the house was dated back to the time before the deed in question that I put out to the group. So I don't know.... Cuz Janet I would love to see a picture of yours and get a picture of his... then we will know for sure huh! Ok... going forward... First .....history lesson of people involved: Generation I. Thomas Wynne b. 1/21/1733-34 d. 9/1782 married 1/27/1757 Margaret Coulton b. abt 1735 d. 1814 after his death in September 1782, she married Samuel Claphamson b. London, England, d. 7/29/1808 Wynnestay, buried Merion Meeting House Burial Ground, Lower Merion Twp., Philadelphia Cty., [Now Montgomery Cty.], PA. Children: Thomas Wynne b. 11/21/1762 m abt 1786 Elizabeth Rees., Phoebe Wynne b. 3/9/1764 m Mar 09, 1776, John Adams So Phoebe is already married and out of the house when Dad dies in 1782. Mom Margaret Coulton and Son Thomas Wynne are living in the house... Mom Margaret Coulton marries Samuel Claphamson who lives on near by property. Son Thomas Wynne marries Elizabeth Rees about 1786. In 1796 Samual Claphamson deed's over his property to Margaret Coulton Wynn's eldest son Thomas Wynne b. 11/21/1762 who marries Elizabeth Rees. Then Deed Says "All That Certain, lot or piece of ground situate in the thirty-fourth ward of the city of Philadelphia and described as follows to wit " then goes on to says "Being part of a large lot of ground which SAMUEL CLAPHAMSON and wife by indenture bearing date the Fifteenth day of June 1796 and recorded at Philadelphia in Deed book E. F No 7 page 383 +c. granted and conveyed unto THOMAS WYNN in fee and the said being so there of seized, in his demesne, as of fee afterwards departed this life intestate leaving to survive him as his only heirs at law. " Has to be Thomas Wynn b. 11/21/1762 because Thomas Wynne b. 1/21/1733 [wife Margaret Coulton] died September 1782 which was before Samuel Claphamson deeded it to Thomas Wynn his step-son as he was already married to Margaret Coulton Wynn Claphamson. So it was deeded from Samuel Claphamson to Thomas Wynn & Elizabeth Rees Wynn, on June 15th, 1796. Thomas Wynn b.11/21/1762 dies 10/10/1810, so passed to "A widow Elizabeth Wynn and nine children only to wit Thomas Wynn, Samuel Wynn, Elizabeth Rose. Wife of William Rose, Ruth Knight wife of Leonard Knight, Margaret Dungan wife of George W. Dungan, Phebe Jones wife of Owen Jones, Susanna Duffel, wife of Jacob Duffel. Ann Davy wife of William Davy and Mary Wynn to and in whom said premises descended " Widow Elizabeth Wynn would be Elizabeth Rees Wynn b. 1762 d. 11/1/1840 Wynnestay widow of Thomas Wynn b. 11/21/1762 who dies 10/10/1810. Then Deed says: " and Mary Wynn to and in whom said premises descended and become vested in fee subject to the Estate for life therein of their mother the said Elizabeth Wynn who hath since departed this life and the said Mary Wynn [MARY WYNN d. 1824] being so seized as of fee, of in and to an undivided one ninth interest in said premises afterwards departed this life intestate unmarried and without issue whereupon her interest in said premises descended and became vested in the said Thomas Wynn, Samuel Wynn, Elizabeth Rose, Ruth Knight, Margaret Dungan, Phebe Jones, Susanna Duffel and Ann Davy in fee and by four several indentures bearing date respectively January 7-1826, March 13, 1829, December 29, 1830 and April 13, 1832 and recorded at Philadelphia respectively" Generation II. Thomas Wynne b. 11/21/1762 d. 10/10/1810 married about 1786 Elizabeth Rees b. 1762 d. 11/1/1840 Children: Thomas Wynne b. 1787, m. Hannah C Sharp, Elizabeth Wynne b. 1788 m. William Rose, Margaret Wynne b. 1790 m. George W. Dungan, Phoebe Wynne b. 1793 m. Owen Jones, Samuel Claphanson Wynne b. 1/29/1795 m. Phoebe A. Sharp, Ruth Wynne b. 1797 m. Leonard Knight, Ann Wynne b. 1800 m. William Davy, Susanna Wynne b. 3/28/1804 m. Jacob Duffield, Mary "Polly" Wynne b. 1810 d. 1824 never married. Elizabeth Rees Wynn didn't die until Nov 01, 1840 and daughter Mary Wynn died. 1824.... so when they speak of the deed they are talking about Mary Polly Wynne b. 1810 who died 1824 and never married..that her ninth portion was given over..and their mother Elizabeth Rees Wynn was living on the property as part of her widows rights. Then Deed says " in Deed Book L.R.B. No 48, page 516 +c L.R.B. No 48, page 552 +c L.R.B. No 48 page 513 +c and L.R.B. No 48 page 496 +c, the said William Davy and Ann his wife Jacob Duffuel and Susanna his wife, Owen Jones and Phebe his wife, George W. Dungan and Margaret his wife, Samuel Wynn and Wife, William Rose and Elizabeth his wife and Leonard Knight and Ruth his wife granted and conveyed all their right title and interest in said premises unto the said Thomas Wynn in fee and the said Thomas Wynn being so thereof seized in his demesne as of fee in said premises afterwards departed this life intestate leaving surviving him a widow Hannah since deceased..." Which means that the siblings gave over to Thomas Wynne b. 1787 d. 7/3/1862, who married Hannah C. Sharp, the property but Thomas was demesne on Jul 03, 1862 and Hannah was then a widow... See below: Generation III. Thomas Wynne b. 1787 Wynnestay, d. 7/3/1862 m. 3/23/1812 Hannah C. Sharp b. 1788. Children: Mary Wynn b. 2/8/1813 m. William Coxey Samuel G. Wynne b. 4/22/1815 d.5/18/1815, 26days old Delaney S. Wynn b. 2/22/1816 d. 5/30/1892 never married Lydia S. Wynn b. 12/03/1818 m. John Barrow Thomas "Tom" Wynn b. 6/3/1821 m. Jennie T'char'lia/Which'alea John R. Wynn b. 8/8/1822 d. 10/30/1831 9 yrs 2 mo. 22 days old Hannah S. Wynn b. 9/10/1823 d. 4/9/1897 never married Ruth Anna Wynn b. 1/22/1826 m. Cornelius B. Compton Sarah Sharp "Sally" Wynn b. 12/19/1832 d. 8/29/1921 never married John Boyer Wynn b. 5/28/1836 d. 10/30/1836 5 mo. 2 days old Then Deed says; "... and seven children to wit Delany S. Wynn, Thomas Wynn, Hannah S. Wynn, Sarah S. Wynn [party hereto] Mary Coxey, wife of William, Coxey, Lydia S. Barrow wife of John Barrow, Ruth Ann Compton wife of Cornelius B. Compton, to and in whom said premises descended and became vested in fee in equal seventh parts as tenants in common..." So this property went to the seven children of Thomas Wynne 1762/1810 m. Elizabeth Rees Wynn 1762/1840 Then Deed says "..and the said Cornelius B. Compton and Ruth Ann his wife in Indenture dated the twenty-second day of September 1864 and recorded as aforesaid in Deed Book L.R.B. No 48, page 508 +c, granted and conveyed their full equal undivided one-seventh part of said premises unto the said Delany S. Wynn in fee. " So Ruth Ann Wynn Compton and Cornelius B. Compton gave their portion on 9.22.1864 to Delaney S. Wynn Delaney S. Wynn is the brother of Ruth Ann Wynn Compton, he also was the child of Thomas Wynn 1787/1862 and Hannah C. Sharp. Then Deed says "And the said William Coxey and Mary his wife by indenture dated the eighteenth day of July 1865, and recorded as aforesaid in Deed Book L.R.B. No 111 page 75 +c granted and conveyed their full equal undivided one seventh part of said promises unto the said Delany S. Wynn in fee " So Mary Wynn Coxey and William Coxey gives their portion on 7/18/1765 to Delany S. Wynn Delaney S. Wynn is the brother of Mary Wynn Coxey Then Deed says "and the said John Barrow and Lydia S. his wife by indenture dated the Eighteenth day of October 1867 and recorded as aforesaid in Deed Book JTO No 89 page 365 +c granted and conveyed their full equal undivided one seventh part of said premises unto the said Delany S. Wynn in fee " So Lydia S. Wynn Barrow and John Barrow give their portion on 10/18/1867 to Delany S. Wynn... Delaney S. Wynn is the brother of Lydia Sharp Wynn Barrow Then Deed says "and the said Thomas Wynn and wife by indenture dated the Twentieth day of March 1876 and recorded as aforesaid in Deed Book LW No 146 page 409 +c Granted and conveyed their full equal undivided one seventh part of said premises unto the said Delany S. Wynn in fee " So Thomas Wynn and wife [Jennie T'char'lia/Which'alea] give their portion on 3/20/1876 to Delany S. Wynn... Delaney S. Wynn is the brother of Thomas Wynn and Jennie T'char'lia/Which'alea Then Deed says "and the said Delany S. Wynn by Indenture dated the Eighth day of June 1877 and recorded as aforesaid in Deed Book G G P No 52 page 321 +c granted and conveyed inter alia unto the said Sarah S. Wynn in fee five full equal undivided seventh parts or shares in said premises " So Delany S. Wynn gives his now five full equal seventh shares of premises to Sarah S. Wynn on 6/8/1877. Sarah S. Wynn is the single sister of Delany S. Wynn. Then Deed says "and the said Hannah S. Wynn departed this life on the ninth day of April 1897 having first made and published her last will and testament in writing dated the twentieth day of December 1889 and registered at Philadelphia wherein she devises the residue of her estate including a one seventh interest in said premises unto the said Delany S. Wynn and Sarah S. Wynn for life and on the death of either them to the survivor absolutely" Hannah S. Wynn b. 9/10/1823 d. 4/9/1897 never married and gave her portion over to her brother Delany S. Wynn and sister Sarah S. Wynn who who ever survives gets the property upon the other's death. Then Deed says "and the said Delany S. Wynn departed this life on the Thirtieth day of May 1892" So Delany S. Wynn is now dead, so all goes to Sarah S. Wynn, who still hasn't married. Then the Deed says "the said Grantee his Heirs and assigns under and subject nevertheless to following restrictions as to buildings That no building or buildings shall be erected on the above described and hereby granted lot or piece of ground within Forty feet of the front property line of said lot excepting porches and steps for a period of twenty five years from the Tenth day of March 1913", So Sarah S. Wynn puts in the Deed that this Theodore Kraan can't put any more buildings on the property except for porches and steps for 25 years from 3/10/1913. The property was given over to Theodore Kraan on April 8th, 1913, for one dollar. But we know she continues to live there the rest of her life. At the age of Eighty-Eight years Eight months and 10 days Sarah S. Wynn dies on Aug. 29, 1921 in New Jersey while visiting family there. This is Eight years after this change of Deed. So who the heck is Theodore Kraan??? Ok that is it till we return from Wales... I have to get things finished or I can't go..which means you can't go.... so I hear a boooooooo????? ha ha ha Hugs Cuz B ttg-inc@comcast.net http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ttg13/ "Life may not be the party we hoped for... but while we are here we might as well dance !" ----- Original Message ----- From: "The Thill Group, Inc." <ttg-inc@comcast.net> To: <WYNNE-GENEALOGY-SOCIETY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, May 04, 2006 5:21 PM Subject: Re: [WGS] Wynnestay 2nd property > Dear Janet and Gainor, > Here is the copy of the deed for the Wynnestay 2nd property that Sarah > "Sally" Sharp Wynn had .... > I typed it up and made it a pdf so you can open it... > > http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ttg13/deed2ndpropertywynnestay.pdf >
