A few more prayers are needed this Thanksgiving Day. As long as I have known my cousin Merle, she has rarely run at less than 70 miles per hour. This past month has been a difficult time for her - she contracted bronchial pneumonia which aggravated a long-time heart valve problem. As a result she was in and out of the ER several times, contracted an intestinal infection and was getting weaker and weaker. On Monday of this week, she underwent surgery that repaired not one but two valves and a hole in the heart. Her heart rate, which had been racing to do its work, is down and her blood pressure, which had been dropping, is back to the normal range. She is very weak but the prognosis is good. Hopefully she will recover fully and we will both (time and money permitting) be able to join the trek to ancestral Wales next spring. We'd like to go on to ancestral Cornwall as well while we are so close. A Happy Thanksgiving to All. JoanII
Dear Joan, I just read your email and I will definetly keep her in my prayers. I pray that she will have a speedy recovery and get her strength back. I hope to make the trip next year too if health and money works out. Have a real nice Thanksgiving. Thanks so much Joan for this correspondence. Today is the first I have opened my E-mail. Had a relapse of the C-Diff last week but am now "on the road to complete recovery" Love, Merle ----- Original Message ----- From: Joan Bretz <jbretz1@earthlink.net> To: <WYNNE-GENEALOGY-SOCIETY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, November 23, 2005 10:35 AM Subject: [WGS] Princess Merle Millhimes - off topic > A few more prayers are needed this Thanksgiving Day.
