Becky-- ????? I just wanted to remind and let the other cuz's know that by book, you do not necessarily mean a long, many paged project..........a book can be as short as you want to make it......10-15 pages for a nice little family project.? And FTM gives you the organization template, and prompts you on the format...........so just pick and choose what you want, fill in or import info and pictures, write whatever text you want, and voila....it is done, complete with foreward, title page, index, etc..? And already having all the images in the media section of each person?makes it that much?easier.? Maybe doing a book could be a good how to?lesson at the next reunion for those folks who haven't tried it. ???????????????? Then I took it another step... After I created the book with all the images I wanted, I took an Scanned in HIGH resolution the images, on to my hard drive. Then I took my handy dandy little bitty flash drive that fits in your pocket and saved those files to it. I then went to CVS and plugged that flash drive into their photo book machine and spent 30 minutes putting it in order on their machine... and had them make me a HARD BACK book of all the pages on Photopaper..... I took the hard back book to the family auction and it got 200.00 for our next reunion!!!! Now how was that for a great way to give a book to someone and it only cost me $14.99 for the 8x12 hard back book. I love the new technology. Dear Good Prince Terry of the west, I plan on doing lessons again on the FTM2009 this year to help folks out. That was a good idea. And you can make a book as small as a family sheet page and a descendants chart... or as big as you want... It is really quite simple.. I made a quick one that I took to the reunion without hard cover on my FTM2009, and printed then stapled on the side..and it was 14 pages.. it had a chart of my mom's family down to my grandparents. It had a descendant chart of the same, plus some pictures. Hugs Cuz B [email protected] http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ttg13/ "'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass.
