I descend from those "early Baptist" Morgans some of whose descendants went to NC. Specifically, I descend from Esther Morgan 1678-1754 who m. David Jones. Esther's brothers were Thomas, Abel and Enoch; the later two were Baptist Ministers originally from Cardiganshire, Wales. Having later ancestors who lived in SW PA and NW VA, I have a number of ancestors who married into the Morgan Morgan family mentioned by Gilbert. (Also, at least one connection to the Boone family via the Lincolns.) As a consequence, I've collected a good bit on Morgans in VA & PA. Connie, when you refer (above) to the Morgans of VA/MD/PA, are you referring to your line of Morgans or to the Morgan lines which genetically match descendants of Dr. Thomas Wynne?
