Hey Becky, The road trip sounds like fun. My brother lives in Longview, so I could combine a trip to the library with a chance to visit him and his family (his two daughters and their families all live there too). I may need to come to Texas anyway to get some documents for my Mayflower Society application. I guess Connie may have mentioned to you that my mtDNA test showed an exact match with another descendant of the Mayflower lady (Mary Chilton) I had hoped to match through my all-female line. My brother is looking for docs he already has to help me with the application, since he was executor for my parents' estate several years ago. I will need your advice later on procedures for getting documents from Oklahoma, since I suspect you have had to do that before. My Mom was born in Oklahoma and my grandparents were married there. I have no experience with getting docs for anyone other than myself and my children. Let me know if you and Connie get the bug to go to Northeast Texas!
