Dear Becky and Cousins Galore! To live so close to all of the revelry and not be able to attend for even a short time was definitely very difficult to take. I reserved the day, rearranged my schedule and searched for an aide for dear husband Hal. As he is in Day Care for a chunk of the day it was to be for a short time. A one time job, late Friday afternoon for 4 hours was obviously not an appealing time for the aide population. I came up empty handed. I then decided to take Hal with me. I kept him at home on Friday so that we could drive to Wynnestay Friday afternoon. As I observed Hal it was obvious to me he was too fragile for the trip. He recently had a TIA having awakened unable to speak more than gibberish several days earlier. He was not kept in the hospital and the emergency room stay was brief and to the point...nothing new on tests and scans. I decided caution was wise. Becky, as I recall there was an article and/or a photo or photos of my mother at a previous Wynnestay event that was going to be available to purchase at Wynnestay. If that is still possible please let me know and I will do what is necessary. What a glorious event you planned and executed, Becky. How fortunate for one and all who could attend. Thank you, thank you for all of the work you and others do to flesh out our family history. I trust my mother's spirit is feeling serene and deeply pleased. Great Memories to store, pictures to sort, clothes to wash and life to get back to. I want to thank you all for coming, sharing and creating more great WGS memories! Didn't I tell you that Mayor Phillip was a hoot!!! Watching people react to his robes and chains was such fun. And the surprise to Elaine was just perfect!! Isn't she a sweetie! She is the reason that we have the connection to the Wynnestay. On our first trip to Philadelphia, she was the one that went to the Wynnestay and knocked on their door and asked if we could come visit, and the passing years and contact with Skip and Robert have really made the Wynnestay connection even more alive for us all. Remember to send me copies of all your pictures so that I can put them on our website and share with everyone!!! My Hubby Jerry took the film to Wal-Mart to get them developed so that I could get the pics with Mayor Phillip from the Banquet to you .. and guess what!! WAL-MART doesn't develop film any more, they don't even have the machines any more!!! Told we have to go to CVS or Walgreen's for development!! I was shocked!!! But I will get it done on Monday so we can all share. Remember Send me all your photos!!! Prefer in digital format..but I can scan in regular photo copies too... but get them this way so I can post them!! I got home last night, a day earlier then hubby Jerry was expecting but Mom/Shirley and I wanted to get home!!! Will be sharing what I found in Harrisburg and in Cambridge with you guys soon!! Cuz Joan II, we didn't get to Harrisburg till late and actually stayed in Mechanicsburg as they had no rooms on the Harrisburg side.. then went straight to courthouse the next am, then were on the road to Cambridge by 1 pm... so didn't get a chance to call and hook up with you, sorry we didn't have more time, and again thank you for the invite to stay. >From Cambridge we went straight south to Charlotte then west to Nashville and then on to Memphis, Little Rock, and then on to Dallas, so Cuz Joyce Gail, we didn't get in your neck of the woods or we would have called for you to meet us on the highway!! Love you sweetie. Great trip, great reunion, glad to see everyone. Sad news on the way home when heard of Martha's passing, Cuz Joe you know you and yours are in our heart thoughts and prayers. Love to all Hugs Cuz B... glad to be home to her own bed!!! ttg-inc@tx.rr.com http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ttg13/ "'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. Dear Cuz Susannah, Your mom would have loved the Wynnestay reception, it was great! I am sorry that Hal is doing so poorly, I wondered if you were going to be able to get to at least the Wynnestay part of the reunion, was sorry that you weren't able. As to the articles, I have authority to sell the CD's for the Wynnestay. I will post it for the group on a separate e-mail. Again, shoot! on not getting to see you!
