To All: We have lived in the DC area for 35+ years. We don't like the traffic situation, but we have learned to adapt to it and to deal with it-----sometimes with much moaning and groaning. Know it can be a terrible ordeal for those visiting in these areas. There are alternative modes of moving around in the areas involved and hopefully we will be able to incorporate some of them in to our travel plans. All of the sites Joan mentioned would be wonderful places to explore. While I don't connect directly to "the girls", I have always followed their story with great interest. I think it will be interesting to see what we might "dig up" on them. Take care.
