Thanks Sara and Sharon, it's appreciated! But yes it was wonderful about the Welsh and Welcome society's coming to the reception and also providing the refreshments. Chuck the Pres. of the Welsh society, e-mailed and said any time we are in town to let them know they would love to come see us as they all had such a great time!!! Carol, that represented the Mayor took some doing behind the scene's... as not only did I contact the Mayor offices several times, but was turned down, then I got the Mayor's home address and sent him a letter addressed to him and his family inviting them as they know Skip and Robert and live 2 blocks away. That is when the Mayor stepped up and got Carol to come for him, so I was very happy! Seems the Mayor was busy with that guy from DC and we weren't as important!! HA HA .. i.e. guy is DC was Obama visiting Philly, the gall of them!! ha ha ha The Gov. office was shocked the local Gov. Rep would not come and I have a feeling that is being handled in their office, but they did send us and the Mayor a nice citation. But over all I think the Mayor and ourselves enjoyed a nice visit there. Hi, We also join in saying how great it was viewing the pictures, and remembering all the fun times at another reunion. The pictures all turned out great. Thanks for all the subtitles and work putting it all together. It was a "historical" reunion since not only Mayor Phillip was in attendance, but the Welch and the Welcome Societies, plus the Mayor's representative. It was very gracious of the Welch Society to give us a lovely "tea" with all the trimmings at Wynnestay. Loved the Welch shortbread cookies! With that said, it's always the cousins that top the list of wonderful times and building more memories. It was such fun seeing and visiting with everyone. Becky-- It was soooo much fun looking at all those pictures and re-living the reunion again! We had such a good time with all that we did, and looking back, I think I was especially nice to again visit the Wynnestay, along with our special guests Elaine and Mayor Phillip, and the wonderful hospitality accorded us. That is such a rare treat, and not at all certain when that could be done again, so I have real fond memories of that day! Overall, a wonderful reunion, with trips to see lots of interesting things, and some more important records found, but most of all seeing so many of our special cousins once more and getting to spend time with them....at the end of the day it is all about the people, and we have all become such special friends through these reunions. Cuz Becky: The pictures are great!!!! I am sure everyone will enjoy these pictures for a long time to come. If was really a fun week. Note: the David Wynne house is in the picture that appears just before the picture of the David Wynne barn.
