    3. At 12:47 PM 12/22/2010, you wrote: >Trying to eliminate it on the female side. Pearce in Olive Pearce came from > somewhere. Connie, There was an Olive Pearce/Peirce b. 1758.1.12 dau. of Joshua Pearce/Peirce and wife Ann Baily listed in Kennett M.M. minutes per "Early Church Records of Chester County Pennsylvania, Volume 3" p. 53. But, that seems too far back in time unless she lived a long time and made some sort of impression on the local folks perhaps during the Rev. War. More likely a later Olive, perhaps named for this one, died young [between Census enumerations] and had been a favorite cousin of Lydia Metz. Interesting challenge! Regards, Jane

    3. Cuz Connie, I was looking around at Geneology.com and found the Levi Henderson Pearce with the son, Harry Wynn Pearce. I am not sure where they are from...I just thought it was odd to have a Pearce with the name Harry Wynn when my grandmother had a brother named Harry Wynn. 3. Cuz Becky You guys are great! I would love to wade in but just have nothing to work with. I just have the info from Dad that her middle name was pierce (however it may be spelled) and he knows that she had cousins named pierce also...however I'm not sure if they were living in the Philly area or not. This was the first I ever heard what the P stood for. I guess you get this sort of thing a lot in geneology huh? 3. Alien Cuz: I did find a Levi Henderson Pearce who lived during her lifetime. He was b.1882-d.1960 to her b.1887-d.1970 so they could have been cousins, and known each other. What makes me curious is the fact that he had a son born in 1922 who was named Harry Wynn Pearce...and my grandmother had a brother named Harrison "Harry" Metz Wynn. Why would this Pearce have a son named Harry Wynn (same spelling my grandmother's family used without the "e") if they were not related to the Wynn family in some way? I could not find any contact person for the Pearce family though. :( Susan if you are out there...any knowledge of the Pearce connection to the Wynn family? Any knowledge of Pearce cousins?
