Nancy Unfortunately there are a Gazillion lineages put out there for the Morgan's also. We know we have a YDNA match to a bunch of them and Becky likes the Golden Grove Morgan's. Who have a lineage which starts with Ednyfed Vychan m to Angharad daughter of and heir to David Lloyd ap Tudor ap Ithel Vychan. I have not finished looking at this one this go around. There are a few things in there that I have to chase down and that gets me off the track. The Morgan of Caelan line daughter out so that won't be where the match is. Thanks, Gary. Interesting reading. The reputation of many of my Morgan's is that if there was a fight going on, they were all in. Sounds like Daniel Morgan was such a man. Nancy: I live in Morgan Co., Alabama, named for Gen. Daniel Morgan of Virginia. Do a "Google" on History of Morgan Co., AL then click on Daniel Morgan. It takes you to a long writeup in Wikipedia. It talks about Morgan getting a hatred for the British when he was in Braddock's British army that attacked the French & Indians at Ft. Duquesne at now Pittsburg. I grew up within 10 miles, as the crow flies, from Fort Necessity which was constructed hastily by George Washington who had taken charge of Braddock's retreating army, after Braddock was killed. The British said that the Indians did not fight fair! They hid behind trees and shot the leaders first, both contrary to the European style of battle where they lined up in bright red uniforms and marched shoulder to shoulder against their opponent. Officers were not killed, except by stray bullets, and often after a winner was declared, officers from both sides met and had drinks and complemented each other. For anyone that has followed this when Becky's brother tested his DNA he matched a bunch of Morgan's. Becky and I have wondered where that connection is??? So after about 5 years of chasing Morgan's I am proud to say that we should match DNA with the Morgans of Caelan in a direct male line. If you remember me babbling at the reunions about the arms that we match these would be from the Four Cornish Coughs Proper. Look for David Gethin ab Gruffyd ab David Bwl desended from Edwin Prince of Tegeingl. I won't clog the list up with this but thought it was a GREAT Xmas share. YES Becky I will share!!!! Merry Xmas Cuz SHREK

OUR CHRISTMAS WREATH We made a beautiful Christmas wreath of the blessings that we share, wrapped round with love from every family member and friend and filled with heartfelt care. Our family and friends have been such gifts to us---- each in a special way---- and we would like to let them know, in honor of Christmas day. Some bring FAITH in times of doubt and some bring HOPE to us, some bring LOVE that casts out fear and sets our spirit free. With some we've laughed, with some we've danced, as JOY is theirs to give. For some we've learned of inner PEACE and a simpler way to live. Our wreath entwines the gifts of all the caring folks we know---- We weave a ribbon of love around and tie it in a bow. We'll take our wreath to the Little Child as we speak to Him in prayer, and ask for Christmas blessings for our family and friends everywhere! Because you're such a gift to us through all you say and do, We thank the Lord and celebrate the uniqueness that is YOU! ----Author Unknown----

Just incase anyone is interested the Pearce Wynn/Winn's in Louisiana are a different YDNA type from Dr. Thomas Wynne PA/DE. The Louisiana group goes back to Abner Winn abt 1760 VA/MD. That particular line of Winn's also has Native American. Abner's wife Lucretia Posey 1/14/1773 Port Charles MD is Native American. Humor me I posted on WGS in case anyone is out there. If you are from this line PLEASE contact me I can put you in touch with the person who already tested DNA. Connie Cole 102 Fernwood Ct. Cuz Bill Becky may have answered you already. I agree with Jane that there is a connection back to those cousins. IT is just very difficult because there are so many marriages between cousins in that group. Maybe if we all look at it we can figure it out. Cuz Connie, Thanks for your help. I of course did not grow up in the the area and never had family contact of any kind except for my Grandparents, William Davis Hall and Olive P Wynn, and my Aunt and Uncle, James Evans and Shirley Hall Evans (my Dad's only living sibling who still lives in the area) and their three daughters, my cousins Judy, Nancy and Betty. (Nancy died of breast cancer in the 90s). This was the extent of my contact and knowledge of the Wynn side of the family. Both grandparents were dead by the time I was 12 years old, and their deaths pretty much ended our regular trips to the Pottstown/Philadelphia area. The same stood for my mother's family in the Boyertown area...when the grandparents were gone we no longer visited as often. I am just thrilled to be learning as much as I am about the family...the work that has been done over the years is just amazing. Thanks for your help.
