    3. Dear Cuz Gary, Yup, Mayor Phillip said to remind everyone to look RIGHT then left, because we will get run over if we are crossing the street. He said he almost got run over in Philly several times because he looked right then stepped when our traffic was coming from the left. 2. The Thill Group, Inc.
    3. Dear Cuz's I zipped off an e-mail to Mayor Phillip, about the electric appliance issue, this is what he said: "The electricity is 220 - but my electrical items are dual so I can use both 220 and 110 so, yes you will need a connector. However, tell your members who are staying with the locals not to carry over an Iron as their hosts will supply one together with the board." So..any that use Blow dryers, curling irons etc.. be aware that we need converters or connectors or transformers what ever they need be called. I will look on line and see what I can find that we may get locally before we leave our homes. Hugs Cuz B...trying to think of things we might need to know..... ttg-inc@comcast.net http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ttg13/ "Life may not be the party we hoped for... but while we are here we might as well dance !" ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Alban" <davidvi@uslink.net> To: <WYNNE-GENEALOGY-SOCIETY-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, April 14, 2006 1:02 PM Subject: Re: [WGS] Wales - Vi? > This is a question for Mayor Philip - I don't remember having one wih me. > I know about blow dryers and curling irons, but what's an iron???????LOL > Vi

There are too many "differences" in our lifestyle and the British to put one's self in jeopardy because one is not alert due to lack of sleep. You have to be alert, and stop and think twice, all the time you are there, or they could be bringing you home in a "wooden box". Traffic on their "propper" side of the road means vigilance if you are driving, and looking a different way if you are crossing the streets, both as a driver, and as a pedestrian. This is just one example -- there are many others. Sleeping and resting on the plane is problematic, and depends on the individual, and the other passengers. First trip over there, I was in Tourist, and some lady in a center seat had to go to the restroom every 1/2 hr, plus there were several babies crying at different times. Second trip, in Business class, two men, two seats back, played cards all night and became progressively loud as the drinks piled up. We left Atlanta, at 6 PM eastern time, flew non-stop to Heathrow, arriving about 7 AM London time. Took another flight to Teeside, and with cab to motel, arrived at 11 AM London time, totally glassy eyed. On advice from others who had done that before, we pulled the shades and went directly to bed at the motel. We got up in the evening in time for our hosts to pick us up, out for dinner, back in bed after midnight, and woke the next morning, feeling totally great for a full day at work there. Cuz Gary

    3. Dear Cuz's, As you have heard Mayor Phillip is going to have us on a whirlwind wonderful packed full tour of Wales. I thought this would be the time to mention about the time changes your going to be going through. The ones that have traveled over to Europe know what I mean..... For an example... I will be getting on the plane 12:30 pm [right after noon] in Dallas, I will arrive in Philadelphia around 4:36 pm, that is 3:36 my Dallas time. We will leave Philadelphia at 8:30 pm Eastern Time and that is 7:30 pm Dallas time. 1. Fw: WGS Visit to Caerwys - from Mayor Phillip
    2. The Thill Group, Inc.
    3. Dear Cuz's, This was from Mayor Phillip talking about the little grocery/quick stop type store next to the Ashgrove apartments. Read below from Mayor Phillip Hugs Cuz B ttg-inc@comcast.net http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ttg13/ "Life may not be the party we hoped for... but while we are here we might as well dance !" ----- Original Message ----- Hi Becky, The shop named Compton House, is open from 7.30am to 9.30pm in the evening. The other places tend to close at 6.00pm Various places have opened for breakfast over the years, and closed or stopped. It's not like in America where you all seen to eat out all of the time and obviously the shops etc., are there to cater for this. Its only in the large towns and cities that have these facilities - remember, Caerwys is the Smallest Town in Great Britain with a Royal Charter - and we are in the middle of open countryside. There are many villages only a few miles from Caerwys that have a higher population. Just remembered one thing this afternoon whilst driving. Please remember to tell your members to be careful whilst crossing the road - as we drive on the other side and therefore you have to look right first and then left before crossing. When I was in Philadelphia I made the mistake twice of opening a car door to get in, when of course it was the driving seat, as they are reversed and one such car was a police car - at least I did not get arrested !! Regards. Phillip. .

    3. Dear Cuz Diane, When going through the breast cancer treatment with my mom and my friends mom, this was also sent to me. What a shock to find something that we mostly would think was just another skin eruption or rash and it turn out to be something so horrible. Wake up gals, be aware of this and make sure your younger family members are aware of these things. They tend to think they are invincible! Thanks Cuz Diane for a good e-mail.
