    3. That looks like a great book. You are right, NJ is famous for traffic and bleak industry along the roads. It is always joked about! You have to get off the road to see the good stuff in NJ, and that book will do it. 3. Where do you live, Cousin Amy? Is there something from your area that is special? My town makes famous chili. Also, our chamber of commerce has coffee mugs that say "We've left the lights on for you in Carlinville, Illinois". In Maryland they make really nice tobacco wreaths. What a great thing to do with tobacco! They are nice gifts. If nothing more imaginative comes to mind, maybe just some Hershey's kisses -- that's great American chocolate! And it comes in many flavors now -- the ones with caramel are tasty, but I'm a purist and like the original ones. What does your license plate say? Maybe there is a hint there of what your state is famous for. I was given a Canada goose pin by a woman from Canada. I still wear it on my coat lapel. Christmas ornaments are always a safe gift, and if you found one to do with your city/state it could remind them of your visit when they decorate. I know Ohio has Wright Brothers ornaments for example. I'm staying at a B&B, so I guess I don't need a hostess gift. 3. Hi Becky. Someday when I really get my office cleaned up I will find about a dozen pieces of paper with your address on it. But for the moment, I can't put my hands on any of them. Could you please send your address again so I can remit my $25 for WGS dues for the coming year. I daresay there may be others going on the Wales junket who have yet to pay. See you NEXT WEEK!!! I have my suitcase nearly packed - just trying to figure out the fewest number of clothing items to take - would you guys really mind seeing me in the same outfit on more than one occasion? JoanII

    3. Dear Amy, I would suggest... maybe a book about your area, some recipes from your local community, a craft you make.. some little something that your state or area is known for, some token gift from America that they wouldn't get over there. I am making a crochet doily for my hosts, some one else is talented as a drawer/painter and taking a print of one of the pictures they created, someone else is bringing a book about horses, as they have the big horse races in her state... Go to your local tourism place and see what they have. Usually in your county they have booklets about your community, or books about your state etc... Hope this helps!
