I am sure that Mayor Phillip will not take up too much of your time. He thought since you guys don't have hosts to make lunch for you, that he would do so. I would hope that is appreciated. Either before or after you have lunch you will have time to check in and go to the grocery next door to your hotel. As far as the gift goes, it is not for the host, you guys don't have a host you have a hotel. Queenie and Bob, were doing the shirt and cap as a group gift as thank you for the lunch from the hotel group to Mayor Phillip. They were not trying to upsurp your gift giving, they were trying to do something nice. I thought it was a nice gesture on their part, and a savings of suitcase space. As to the shopping, I am also sure that you will get to do some shopping along the way. I personally want to make sure I get to see as much as possible of the sites, because I don't know if I will ever get over there again. So I am tickled with our itinerary. I also am very grateful that the Mayor has stepped forward and made the arrangements that he has so that we will get to see everything we will. I hope that you will not be expecting him to change the schedule as he has gone to a lot of trouble to make these things happen for us. Not only has he gone out of his way but also the host couple that have the bus service are going out of their way to make this a great trip and the women in the town are all baking cookies and things for tea, etc etc... the whole town has gone out of their way to make us welcome. I hope you guys realize that this is not the norm for visiting a city. I hope no one complains to the Caerwys citizens after all they are doing. A note for the mayor. I hope he is planning to give us time to check in, freshen up and hang up some clothes before we go to his house for lunch. I would also like to have time to go to the nearby store to buy some breakfast stuff. And the hat and shirt are from Joyce and Bob, not from the rest of us. Merle and I will be providing something for our host as well. Don't know about the other folks. Also remind the mayor about stopping here and there for some shopping. I would prefer not to have to wait until Sunday in hopes of making some purchases to bring home. If there is nothing to buy, we are SOL. Maybe during the lengthy visits to a couple of places, the bus could take some of us around a bit if we are not particularly interested in the tower/church/whatever. The clock is ticking down. Was even doing some laundry today, washing some of the things I'll be packing. That is, if I can find room for any clothes after I get everything else in the suitcase. JoanII

Dear Cuz's, The Cuz's that are staying at Plas Penucha and Ashgrove Apartments will be going to Mayor Phillips home for lunch on Thursday. Queenie and Koth [Joyce & Bob Quigley] have purchase a baseball cap and a Team shirt for the Pittsburgh Steelers.. the official type things not the "Wal-Mart" type. They will be giving these to Mayor Phillip for thanks for lunch. So don't get him a gift Queenie and Koth have it handled. I have a marble plaque for Mayor Phillip for his friendship and help to us. I will be presenting it to him at the Concert. I have a marble plaque and a "Dr. Thomas Wynne's Legacy" book for the Town of Caerwys in thanks for the remembrance of Dr. Thomas Wynne. Those things are heavy.. they weigh together 8.5 pounds!!! I also am giving a "Dr. Thomas Wynne's Legacy" Book to Mike, Fliss and Christy Owens the Owners of the Bron Fadoc for their keeping Dr. Thomas Wynne's history alive, and also for hosting Vi and I during our visit. Hugs Cuz B ttg-inc@comcast.net http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ttg13/ "Life may not be the party we hoped for... but while we are here we might as well dance !"
