Here is the link to the page you click on Y results for the Y results. _http://www.familytreedna.com/public/winn/default.aspx_ (http://www.familytreedna.com/public/winn/default.aspx) There is a link from here to some pages that Becky did a while ago. There is not much info for Dr. Thomas Wynne on these pages. This a a direct link to the results. _http://www.familytreedna.com/public/winn/default.aspx?section=yresults_ (http://www.familytreedna.com/public/winn/default.aspx?section=yresults) The results are for all Winn's not just Dr. Thomas. Some of these folks will end up as cousin to us in one manor or another. Dr. Thomas's line takes the Wynne surname from a female descendant of Gwidar. As far as Warner Wynne's, we have a Warner in our line, as you see there is a Wanrer out there on his own, and one of the other Watkin Winn( there are 2 or 3 of those lines) lines also has a Warner Winn. THANKS Connie My question is--is there a website/company that has this Wynn DNA data?  Can you provide the link to the site?  What is the fee involved?  I will try to rustle up some more Wynn participation, as I am allegedly descended from one of these 3 Warner Wynns.  Thank you! At this point I am thinking there is some information that is not right and is warping our search. We have one genealogy done for the DAR that spells the name WINNE and that would make a pretty big difference. (it was done over 100 years ago) Since that side of the family was very into social class and WINNE would probably lean toward Dutch ancestry that was an admired part of the socially prominent "Knickerbocker" tradition that part of the family was part of, it may be they just wanted to look as if their son had married well. The fact was they were not happy with his marriage since they were in a social class and family that was extremely promenade in NY city at the time. The marriage records state her name as Elizabeth Winn. My cousin is a very talented genealogist and has come to the same brick walls but we sure found lots of interesting things from her marriage on. Unfortunately some records about the marriage in Indiana disappeared a few years ago and now we cannot trace things like the witness' to the wedding but we do know that a Rev. Wolf married them. Can't find him either. Indiana was still a wild place in the 1830's so that is probably why. I did find a Winn family in the county adjacent to St Joseph county in Indiana but could not find an Elizabeth Winn. I did find some of their neighbors and good friends in Wisconsin had come from parts of Ohio that were heavily populated with Wynn/Winn families and still think there may be a possible connection with Denton Davis and his wife Barbara Replogle since people in Rochester Wisconsin seemed to think they were her parents while they lived there. Could be a possible orphan situation I guess. Of course, there could be some secret that was never intended to be known. I know that Indian ancestry was often covered up and people tried to make children that were part Indian become totally part of the white society by hiding their ancestry. My cousin (maternal side) has had the DNA test done and it shows no trace of anything but a direct line to Northern Europe so far so I presume that looking into any Native American ancestry would not prove anything. . Our mother's were sisters so we are working the same line there. Thanks for your help, glad that you are up and running and feeling better! Barbara in California.
