    2. Dear Cuz's A week ago I posted the notice of Gary Nickel's passing, Joyce Gail's cousin... sadly Gary's father has also passed away this week. Please keep their family in your prayers... too many too soon. Cuz Joyce Gail, you know your in our prayers. Nickell, Wilmer, "Jack", age 89, of Middletown, passed away Monday, August 3, 2009 at Atrium Medical Center. He was born January 9, 1920 in Elder, KY to Alvin and Annie Ellen (Dunn) Nickell. He served our country in the US Army during WWII with an honorable discharge. Jack worked for Manchester Machine (Sulzer Escher Wyss) as a tool grinder for 35 years, retiring in 1985. Jack was a strong man of God and devoted to his wife Elva. He loved to sing gospel music, fishing, gardening and especially taking care of his roses. He was a member of Tytus Avenue First Church of God. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Nickell and step- grandson, Robert Temple, Jr. Jack is survived by his wife, Elva Nickell of 65 years; daughters, Linda Sue (Robert) Harris of Somerville, Carol Caskey of Franklin, Elizabeth Faye (Robert) Temple of Middletown and Patricia Ann (Larry) Wonderly of Blanchester; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Virgie Larson of FL, Marie Kuntz of TX; daughter-in-law, Shirley Nickell of Franklin. Visitation will be held Friday, August 7, 2009 from 10:30-12:30 PM at Tytus Avenue First Church of God. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 12:30 PM at the church with Pastor Damon Curtis officiating. Internment will be at Highland Cemetery.
