    2. Becky Be careful here there is more than 1 Warner Wynn and either a Virginia Sprinkle affiliated with the Virginia Winn's coincidently marries a Wynn not associated with the Fayette Sprinkles or someone has been misidentified. Cuz Connie

We have our theories as to who his parents were, but we can't prove it. We know George lived in Rockingham Co., VA, then Augusta Co. and Rockbridge Co., VA. When the family arrived in IN, they first lived in Putnam Co., then moved to Cass Co., where Geo rge W. died in 1862. He and other members of the family are buried at the Sprinkle Cemetery. This would make me believe that I might be correct in assuming these Winn's are associated with the Virginia Winn's from the same area. Meaning they are not our Wynn's. Cuz Connie

Sopp To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, August 09, 2009 10:16 AM Subject: Genealogy Hello there: I noticed your post (see below) in which you asked about the Sprinkle family. My maiden name was Sprinkle and I research all branches of the Sprankle-Sprenkle-Sprinkle family. John Sprinkle in the census data you transcribed is the son of George W. Sprinkle & Hannah Barley. George is a VA Sprinkle who left Virginia moved to Indiana via Kentucky in the 1838. John's wife Margaret is Margaret Roach. Caleb Hardesty Sprinkle, whom you mention married Sarah Wynn, is a son of Samuel Barley Sprinkle & Nancy Hardesty. Samuel Barley Sprinkle is another son of George W. Sprinkle & Hannah Barley. I believe Sarah Ellen Wynn was the d/o Isaac Wynn & Sarah Frush. George W. Sprinkle is a mystery Sprinkle. We have our theories as to who his parents were, but we can't prove it. We know George lived in Rockingham Co., VA, then Augusta Co. and Rockbridge Co., VA. When the family arrived in IN, they first lived in Putnam Co., then moved to Cass Co., where George W. died in 1862. He and other members of the family are buried at the Sprinkle Cemetery. 2. In Josiah Winn's line there is a Leander Winn. Josiah is that Maryland line that keeps over flowing into our line. Some of the descendants are found in Dauphin County mixed up with the Northumberland Cty PA group. That Leander Winn son of Webster Winn is born about 1825 according to census records so he is the son of Webster and his first wife Fanny Bohl/Boal. Leander is SUPPOSED to be married twice and I have seen him picked up in a few genealogies as Leander Wynn 25 M OH. Primary data source cited is the census nothing else. Leander marries second Adeline and is found on the 1860 census Naperville, Dupage Illinois. This Leander dies in Cook Cty Illionis according to you with info from Joyce Wynn Landis, [email protected]_ (mailto:[email protected]) Then there is Leander/Leeander born 1844 Indiana this is a two way split also he is supposed by some to be the son of Ulysses b. 1817 PA and Sarah Ann Wynn listed a L Dyer Wynn but in 1860 that L Dyer is not seen again with Ulyses. You have the other info on Leander he is found in the 1880 1900 and 1910 census all three saying he was born in Indiana. His obituary says he is born in OHIO but does not give parents. But this is the info on Leanna Lou Latchaw Wynn In 1850 We find Leanna Lou Latshaw at 17 years of age with her parents in the Sand Creek, Decatur Cty., IN census.... 1850 US Census, Sand Creek, Decatur Cty, IN, Enumerated 9th day of October 1850, pg 371 or 156 233/233 Joseph Latshaw 44 M Farmer 400 Maryland Can not Read or write Susan Latshaw 40 F VA Can not Read or write Leanna Latshaw 17 [19?] F OH Mary J Latshaw 18 F OH George Latshaw 15 M Farmer OH Betty Latshaw 13 F OH Nancy Latshaw 11 F IN Louisa Latshaw 9 F IN William Latshaw 7 M IN Margaret Latshaw 5 F IN Jesse Latshaw 2 M IN.
