Received this from Sally Williams. We have her in our Prayers for a speedy recovery Lee To elimate a lot of phone calls when I'm already exhausted, especially since they interrupt my sleep, I'm going to send one email update to all of you. This way I can do it at my own convenience, meaning when I'm awake and feeling up to it. I just had another PET SCAN on Saturday. Since today is a holiday it will not be read until Tuesday. The reading will show how much the tumor has grown since October. The next step is the simulation appt. I understand they have me go in and they have me lay in the machine and they explain what I am to expect and they answer any questions I may have. After that the radiation treatments begin Mon-Fri for 33 days. I'm to use a special lotion which must be washed off 6 hours before the next treatment. So until I've had the simulation appt I still have no real news. The cancer society sent me a huge packet of reading materials and will arrange a ride up to 3 days a week, if I cannot find a friend, neighbor, etc to take me. The first two days I plan to drive myself. That's all folks....Sally, Mom, Peanuts, Sister Seaman, Legs, Sly or whatever else I'm known by. = **************Start the year off right.
