Cline who married James A. Crawford in Panther, McDowell County on March 29, 1901. (Both being their second marriages.) From 1901 to 1910, I have no idea where they lived, but in the 1910 census they were living in Garfield, Whitman Co., Washington. They lived in Garfield until deceased. Barbara in 1912, and James in 1935. I can't find Barbara during the 1900 census, nor can I find who she may have been married to prior to marrying James Crawford. I did find a James Crawford in the 1900 census living in Sandy River, McDowell County, matching his birth date Sept. 1853. He is listed as being married, for 24 years, but no wife living with him at the time of census taking. Would there have been a hospital in Sandy River, or close by that she could have been in during this 1900 census. If so, would anyone know of how I could check for this census. I have no idea who James A. Crawford's family are, only that he was born in Ohio. Barbara J. Cline is the daughter of Moses and Frances Cartwright. Barbara had a son, who I believe was adopted by James A. Crawford. This adopted son was William Albert Crawford, born November 18, 1890 in Wyoming County, W.VA. There was a boy born in Baileysville, Wyoming County on November 18, 1890 listed as W. A. Belcher, Father unknown, Mother B.J. Cline, Grandmother Frances Belcher. Maybe Barbara J. Cline was married to a Belcher at one time!!! If anyone could help, I've hit a brick wall. Thanks, B.
