A marriage license can be found for a Roy Acord to a Edith Patterson on the wvculture.org web site. The date is 3 Feb 1945 in Mullens, WV. The licence states that Roy's parents are Ellet Acord and Pearl Mace. I think that the parents should be Charles Elliot Acord and Rosie Pearl Milam. Followup on this an obituary in the Beckley Register-Herald of 22 Jan 2005 for a William Gilbert Acord states that his parents are Charles Elliot and Rosie Pearl Milam Acord and that one of his brothers that precedded him was Roy Acord. He also has a sister by the name of Sylvia Fraley and you can find her marriage licence on line as well married to a Vollie Fraley.
