Acord Final rites are incomplete for Charles Ellet Acord, 66, of Crab Orchard, who died at 1 p.m. Monday in a local hospital following an apparent heart attack. Born Oct 26, 1903 at Hotchkiss, he was the son of Mrs. Laura Acord, of North Carolina and the late William Acord. He was a retired coal miner. Additional survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rosie Pearl Acord; four sons, George C., Itmann, William G., Slab Fork and Roy L. and Charles V. Acord, both of Corinne; a daughter, Mrs. Sylvia E. Fraley of Hotchkiss; two half-brothers, Gene and Otis Cook, both of North Carolina; a sister, Mrs. Macie Weaver of Florida and a half-sister, Mrs. Naomi Jones also of North Carolina; 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. The body is at the Williams Funeral Home in MacArthur.
