When I posted on the site a few days ago requesting info on Belcher, I did not mention there were 3 Bartlett Belchers. There remains some confusion here. 1. Bartley Belcher, born June 6, 1761, married Ailsey Lawson 9/16/1800 Patrick County, Va.. This Bartlett filed a Rev War Pension application in Hawkins County, Tn, and after his death, his widow (Alice) filed in Lee County, Va. 2. Bartlett Belcher married Rachel Ramey 1/10/1821 in Floyd County, Ky. This Bartlett Belcher was the progenitor of our Wyoming County Belchers. 3. Bartlett Belcher married Malinda Fox 3/22/1848 in White County, Tn. Interesting Note: John Thomas Belcher was born 1605 Northamptonshire England.
