Howdy to All, I never lived in Wyoming Co. WV but sure have a bunch of ancestors from that neck of the woods. My John Shields married Elizabeth Colburn in Tazewell Co. VA in 1803. they moved to area of Guyandotte River and Big Fork which at the time was still the border between Giles and Tazewell Co. VA. My Shorts and Bishops arrived in Wyoming Co. shortly after it was formed from Logan Co. VA in 1850. My James and Mary Harris seem to show up about 1820 just before the area became Logan Co. VA.
