Do you have any information on whom Merry Walker might be? I have traced the Walkers into Caswell, NC, and have often wondered what led William, Sr. to come to Wyoming County with the ability to claim the large amount of acreage that he did in mid 1800's. According to Caswell researchers, William was the only one of the family to disappear from NC scene. I know he came to pastor Rockcastle. Does anyone know why or who knew him to call him to the church. I notice that Brownings are also present early at Rockcastle. With William's wife being Nancy Browning, were they the connection? Cathy
