    2. Laura, I've just been transcribing the Ledger of Rev. Goode and that is what he had written In addition, it was said they were in the Shenandoah where they worked off their passage. Also, JohnCooke was appointed a constable during the time(s) he was reported settled in Wyoming County. Goode ref. a letter from Green M. Cook that he didn't arrive wntil 1790 or so. Capt Ralph Stewart arrived in about the year 1800. Goode pointed out that a man by the name of Milam was then on Milam Fork at Garden Branch, among other places before John Cooke and his sons first arrived. Now ho was this man Milam and where did he come from ? There are plenty of Milams now in Wyoming County, all super folks. Are they descendants of this man Milam ? Something to think about. Any comments ? Lee
