    2. More tid-bits on the Lusk family. Rev. Goode writes, in part: It seems that the Lusks came from England and first settled in North Carolina. There, William Lusk was born about 1770 and married Dorcas Dunnegan. Some years after the Revolutionary War, Wm. Lester moved west to get where game was more plentiful. He had two daughters and one son. It seems that his wife had died before he moved in this direction, and while in crossing the New River, one of his daughters, Dorcus by name, drowned,. It is not known what became of the other daughters. Joseph, his son, came with his father to into Wyoming County. Joseph married Dicey Bailey, a daughter of Archibald Bailey
