    3. Pamela, If you will email me, I'll give you the email address for Gayle Blankenship who has written an excellent Blankenship book. I don't know that she would want me to list it here in a public forum, so it would be better if you emailed me. Make your Subject line "Gayle Blankenship's email address" so that I will notice it right away. I screen my mail according to Subject line. Hope this helps! 3. The archives project is an effort to put transciptions of original documents online for safe-keeping and to allow them to be accessed via the internet. Check out the web page & I imagine you will get the drift of it. If not, be sure to let me know. My apologies for my delay in responding. Orders for my new Book have made this last month extrememly hectic. Thanks for your interest! http://www.rootsweb.com/usgenweb/wv/wyoming.htm Jeannie

    1. Re: [WVWYOMIN] mountaintop cemetery with Godfrey's in it
    2. Hi Glenn, Thanks for the infomation, I was told that two of my relatives were burried in a cemetery that had Bear something in the name of it in West Virginia. So when I seen that you had a cemetery with the Bear in it I had to find out where it was located. It does sound like the same place where my relatives were burried at. Again thanks for the info. Trina. _______________________ << HiYa Trina! That's been six years ago, and I couldn't get back up there if I had to. I did travel from the Herndon Post Office due south towards Welch. I went up a long dirt road from the Herndon community which took me to Beartown. All I could re- member now is a very small one lane road up the side of a mountain. The mountaintop had about 15 homes up there. But it was a very remote cemetery. There was a nice overhead steel sign that had the cemetery name on it. It wasn't a painted sign, the name was made out of a small steel letters up high. The cemetery was very clean and had a good fence around it. >>

    2. Sounds great. I'm not of that line but have roots in Wyoming County. Remember the Blankenship family in Bud, many years ago. One by the name of Edith. Several children in that family. JUST HOW DO YOU UPLOAD INFORMATION INTO THIS NET. Can't get pass the rootsweb general page.

    3. I have an idea that I would like to get some feedback on. In the year or so that I have been into genealogy on the 'net, I have met many BLANKENSHIP cousins. We all exchange info and ask do you or have you.... Well, I have been thinking there is so many of us that is not on the internet. Many that I am sure would love to share their family stories with us. My idea is this, a Blankenship Family Newsletter. This is one more way that we all could connect, maybe reach out and make contact with the older family members. And get some of us a little closer to home. I can not do this alone though. To make a family newsletter work, it will need family participation. If you are interested in contributing, please contact me for further information at pam_honaker@hotmail.com. Of course, there will be a subscription fee for the newsletter. Just enough to help cover the printing cost and mailing. I will cover the cost for the first issue, if there is enough interest. I wanted to get some feedback before I got too excited about the project. If there is not enough interest then I will not go further. If cousins on the 'net show interest, then I could get word out through the newspapers back home. Hope to hear from you all soon. 3. HiYa Brenda! (and any Godfrey researcher) I descend from the Mercer County Godfrey family. They are all related, if you go back far enough. John Damon Godfrey is the brother of Armour Lawson Godfrey. I have met Godfrey family researchers on our Wyoming County list before. If you don't get a reply soon, they may be on the Wyoming digest version. Give them a little time. I don't know anything about their old homeplace. But I've been to a cemetery in the Beartown region where some Godfrey graves were. You might want to post your message to the Godfrey mailing list too. ============================================================ Brenda Dillon wrote: > Is there anybody on this list researching the GODFREY line.
