    2. Hey Kathey, We're always interested on the Sizemore line. The "Old Hanging Oak" on which the Sizemore Tory finally died just a few years ago, the oak tree that is. Many applied for the ECA as Indian descendant of the Sizemore, several from Wyoming County. What can you share on this family. Lee

    2. On my journey to Southwset Virginia, I stopped at the Court House in Christiansburg. My time was limited to two hours, sorry, there is so much there on early Wyoming County Territory. I find: "Thomas Huff withdrew his entry of 221 acres made on the 9th day of February, 1782 and entered same, adjoining the last mentioned of 500 acres." (I did not copy platt there were 6 entries) There were more than 4 entries of land tranasction for John Cook. (did not copy) to Jeremiah Pate 2/1799 and 1809 to Jacob Stakesbury, John Ingles, Adam and David Pate 8/1807 Several for Henry and Abner Lester (did not copy) Merry Walker entered 5000 acres (one entry of several) on the waters of the Guyandotte on July 26, 1783. These I will copy on my next trip through. at 50Cts per page it was not a bad investment. Lee

    3. Lee, I've think I've read similar accounts about the Milam *hermit*...wasn't there a Milam's Funeral Home in Logan Cnty? maybe Man? my mother was born on Buffalo Creek in Logan Cnty and never knew until several years ago that she was connected to the Wyoming Cnty John Cooke...or that she was related to probably half that part of the state <G>. You mention John being a constable, where? Shenandoah or Wyoming? 3. B. Kelly, Tomorrow I mail out Volume 13 Issue #4. Next month is the last issue for Volume 13. Each issue has numerous families, not just one family. There are usually birth records, census records, ancestor charts, Civil War records, free queries, photo's, cemetery records, etc in each issue (30-40 pages). Subscribers and/or anyone with Wyoming Co. ancestry submits there records to me for publication. By the way, a previous subscriber went to England and located the birth of John Cooke. It was in an issue about 4 years ago. I am working on a cumulative index for the first 10 volumes in my spare time, which is currently minimal time. Sally Seaman-Williams www.jps.net/ssnwms

    3. Morning list, I was sent some papers from a cousin that still lives in the mountains of Nicholas Co. WV. In these papers the sister to my ggrandfather is listed as Arnetta Emoretta Edison Ames Collins born abt 1855 in area of Tazewell that became McDowell Co. I have always searched for her under the name of Arnetta Collins and have never found her. I don't know if all these names were given names or if this woman married several times. If anybody has records they could look up to see if she shows up under these new names I would appreciate it. PS This woman also went by the surname of MULLINS Brenda Collins Dillon

    3. Lee, I found your post interesting as I keep running into folks searching for a Nancy Collins. There was a Nancy COLLINS living next to the Meredith Collins household in the Shelby Creek area of Pike Co. between 1830 & 40. Several have thought her to be one of the unnamed daughters of Meredith(He had two but names have never been proven). Also interesting is that my line follows John W. Collins, Meredith's first son by second relationship to Margaret HOLLOWAY. Goes to Richard (I don't know if he had a middle name) then to Ervin WALKER COLLINS SR to Ervin Walker Collins Jr. When I ask the family where the Walker came from I was only told it was a family name. I have never found where Walker connects. Brenda LeeHash@aol.com wrote: > Does anyone have anything on the Nancy Collins who married Rev. William > Walker in his old age ?
