    1. [WVWOOD] How lookup 1822 birth?
    2. Ann T. Berry
    3. I need help in seeking a birth record for my gggf James William Sheppeard, who was born in Wood/Wirt on March 21 1822. Can anyone tell me the right site, or, if you have quick access, try looking it up for me? The names of his parents are totally lacking so far, and I would really like to break this brick wall. Many thanks in advance. Good holidays to all. Ann

    3. Hi Ann, Birth records were not keep by county or state government back then. The two most likely places to find births during the 1820s would be Family Bibles and church records. If you know the denomination of the church, checking their records would be the best bet. However back in the 1820s there were not very many churches even. Les At 07:45 PM 12/03/2003 -0500, Ann T.
