    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: CARR MARSH MASON BARNES Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/DFC.2ACI/450.681 Message Board Post: Hello- You don't give a date of birth for your May Mason so I can't even hazard a guess if she could be connected to my husband's great-grandmother or not. Maybe with more info from you it may turn out there's a tie between your Masons and my husband's. My husband's g-grandmother was named Rosetta Caroline Mason and she was born on July 14, 1864 in Parkersburg, W VA. Rosetta married James Llewellyn Carr on July 7, 1888 in Fremont, Dodge County, Nebraska. James L. Carr was a hack [stagecoach] driver there and their 2 children, John Mason Carr and Clara Carr were both born there. Then James and 'Rosa' headed back East with their young children to Bradford Co, PA around 1892 which is where James was born and where his family lived. They lived out their days in Bradford Co, PA and are both buried here. Rosetta's parents were David Mason [b W VA] and Elisabeth Smith [b OH]. I know nothing more about her parents and only know their names from Rosa's obit and also her marriage license. Family history says Rosa's mother Elisabeth was Native American. The only sibling of Rosetta's that I know for sure was Dora Mason who was married to Frank Lovett and he was a farmer in Sherman Co, Kansas in 1892-3 [maybe longer]. Dora and Frank had 5 children, 4 still living in February, 1893. All the info on Dora's family comes from a letter Dora sent to our Rosetta Caroline Mason Carr, dated February 1893. I am just starting out on this branch so I'd love to compare notes. Thanks. M. Lou Bradford Co, PA P.S. I have an old tintype of our Rosetta C. Mason. She looked quite tall. Do you have one of your ancestor that we could compare for resemblance?
