Surnames: Blennerhassett Blaverhasset Ireland USA Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/DFC.2ACI/161.2 Message Board Post: John, The Blennerhassetts ancestry has several (in the same family downlines) Blaverhassets, one of whom inherited the Irish estates in the early(?) 1800's, sold the same and went to the USA (VA??) and built a Castle called Blaverhasset Castle. The cost, and his extravigant lifestyle put him into poverty and he was forced to sell the Castle. The "Castle" still exists as a high end historical Hotel, and can be found on the web.
