Fenton Clark LeMaster was born in 1874 in West Virginia to Valentine LeMaster and Susanna M. Rice. He died on March 4, 1914 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia. He died about 3 weeks after a horrible elevator accident that took place on February 9, 1914 at his place of employment which was called Shattuck & Jackson Wholesale House. He was married to Louis Estelle Debolt on May 8, 1898 in Wetzel County, West Virginia. Louis moved almost immediately after his death to Akron, Summit County, Ohio. I have 4 separate newspaper articles relating to his accident and death from the Parkersburg Sentinel newspaper. The LeMaster's are originally from Wetzel County and Fenton Clark LeMaster's youngest child, Cody Lee LeMaster was born in 1909 in Pasco, Roane County, West Virginia. According to one newspaper article Fenton and Louis were had just came to Wood County and was staying with Louis Debolt's parents, John T. Debolt and Ida Issadore (Boughner) Debolt. The article also states that Fenton's parents were living in Pasco, Roane County. The article goes on to say, "Mr. LeMaster had been in the employ of the Shattuck & Jackson Wholesale Grocery, Co. for about 8 months previous to the accident, employed as a packer. He came here from Pasco, and intended moving his family here at an early date". The minister who performed the services was W.D. VanVoorhis and then it lastly states he was buried in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. So, that's the scoop as I know it. In Christ, Melissa Barker
