Chidester married Forest Rose Yoho in about 1904 in Licking County, Ohio. Her parents were Thomas and Cynthia from Noble County, Ohio. Charles comes from a long line of Chidesters who lived mostly in Licking County, Ohio, Missouri and ILL. His mother was Lucinda Ruth Saldkeld and his father Richard Chidester.
