Wood County Courthouse death record book 7 page 126 show Herman to have died 09/06/1946. There was no fathers name but showed Mother, Mary Dawson. His D)B was 06/04/1918 and he died of rheumatic heart disease. He was buried in Jackson Co, but it doesn't say where. Here is the obit from the library. Parkersburg Sentinel Saturday 09/07/1946 Herman Jesse Dawson, 28, a veteran of WW11 died Friday afternoon in Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hartley, Ritchie Co. and had resided in Parkersburg for the past 5 years. He was employed with the Libby-Owens Ford Glass Co. Surviving are his wife, Mrs Freda Dawson, two daughters, Frances Jessie and Rosbind (?) Wyola Dawson, two half sisters, Mrs Louise Conley of this city and Mrs. Lucille Frame of Ritchie County and a number of aunts and uncles. The remains were removed to the Leavitt Funeral Home.
